I remember how much fun this was when my 2 older sons were away at colleges in different states and my husband was in Switzerland and one night we were all instant messaging each other. How cool is that?

War of the blackbirds

Yesterday after filling up all of the feeders in the backyard, I watched as a big flock of grackles and red-winged blackbirds fought over the food which resulted in the feeders falling over. I spent some time clapping my hands to scare them away... but after awhile they figured out I wasn't going to run outside everytime so they ignored me. Sigh!

Step 2

OK... I went to Google Reader and was way too distracted by all the possibilities! I now subscribe to recipe sites, book review sites, bird watching sites... the list is endless. Very interesting except it is just one more place I have to go, so I'm sure I will tire of it soon. Sorry :)

Spring is here!

The Grackles have arrived along with the Robins! Must find a way to get them to share with the Cardinals and Goldfinches... They are eating all the sunflower seeds!!
